Made by one family, for yours
Khora Ohr is a family-run apothecary and essence brand, made slowly at our kitchen table since 2021.
How it began
One strand, for our daughter
It started with a single strand of beads, strung by hand for our daughter. We loved the quiet ritual of it, and the way something small could carry so much meaning.
Friends and family asked for their own. Soon the kitchen table held beads, then herbs, then oils, and a family apothecary began to take shape.
The name
Khora Ohr
Pronounced KOR-ah OR. Khôra is Greek for space or place. Ohr is Hebrew for light. Together they describe what we hope to make: a space for light to live.
It is the name for the whole of what we do, so you will never find it split in two on a label. Each product has its own name.
How we make
Slowly, in small batches
Everything is made by our family, in small amounts, and never rushed. We would rather make a little and make it well.
Our collections are Comfort, Steep, Anoint and Tend, with Gather as the place where we share what we are learning.
